What Have You Been Doing?

With all this self isolation drama taking its toll on a young writer in his mid twenties, time has been quite poisoning in its excesses. Having said that, what have I been doing with a lot of spare time to burn?

In the midst of the Coronavirus, my family and I are meeting people’s needs and sharing hope. How are we doing it at such turbulent times?

There are so many things that clamor for our attention and devotion: our jobs, our kids, our spouses, our hobbies—the demands and distractions of life. And we have to be careful not to let them become more important or more of a priority than our relationship with God. Yes, there you go, I have quietly been restoring if not rejuvenating my relationship with God cause he is my guide and lifetime plan.

God loves you and he fits perfectly in all your woes. “When doubt comes, we can choose not to let it affect us. We can learn to doubt our doubts!” – Joyce Meyer Many people doubt if they shall see the rising sun again as each day brings its sting. But there is hope in God as he says: Casting all your cares [all your anxieties, all your worries, and all your concerns, once and for all] on Him, for He cares about you [with deepest affection, and watches over you very carefully]. 1 Peter 5:7 AMP

One of the ways you can develop the habit of putting God first is by inviting Him into everything you do before your day gets started. Think about some other practical ways you can put God first in your life and write them out in a journal. Ask God to help you apply them to your life.

NB: But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.
Matthew 6:33 NIV If we want God’s blessings to effect our lives then we have to partner with him in his plans.

Visiting heaven just a prayer away; that’s what I have been doing. What have you been doing?
